Norris Edges Out Oscar Piastri in Sao Paulo Practice
The British driver has beaten Oscar Piastri at each of the past five race weekends.
Lando Norris just pipped team-mate and championship contender the Australian for the fastest time in the dying seconds of the practice session at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The British racer, who took the title advantage from his teammate by one point after his victory in Mexico City recently, topped the Australian by a tiny margin of 0.023secs.
Until that point, Piastri had been the leading McLaren throughout the hour before sprint qualifying scheduled for the evening session.
The Red Bull star, the other racer in the points battle, trailing with a 36-point deficit Norris, finished in P17 as his team followed a alternative strategy.
His teammate the Japanese driver was the sole competitor to go off, albeit lightly, when he spun at corner four soon after starting.

Norris and Piastri were significantly quicker of the remaining drivers, with the German's Sauber in third, 0.619secs behind the Australian's time.
The Aston Martin of the Spanish driver was in fourth, with Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto ahead of Mercedes' Russell and the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and Williams' Sainz.
